The Fulani Community Nationwide, a socio-cultural group, has sent a message to President-elect Bola Tinubu, urging him to consult with its members at the grassroots level to address the recurring clashes between herders and farmers in the country. Alhaji Ya’u Haruna-Malammadori, the Chairman of the group, made this call during an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Katsina on Monday.

According to Haruna-Malammadori, the community is delighted with Tinubu's victory in the Presidential and National Assembly elections and pledged their support. However, the group expressed concern that their community has been branded as troublemakers, leading to a lack of understanding of their issues.

As a result, the Fulani Community Nationwide has called on Tinubu to consult with them directly on matters that affect them, rather than relying on people at the top who need to fully comprehend their problems. By doing so, the group believes that effective solutions can be reached to address the recurring clashes between herders and farmers in the country.

In conclusion, the Fulani Community Nationwide has sent an important message to President-elect Bola Tinubu. The group has pledged its support for him and called on him to consult with their members at the grassroots level to address the ongoing clashes between herders and farmers in the country. By doing so, the community believes that practical solutions can be reached to address their issues.

In addition to calling for direct consultation with President-elect Bola Tinubu to address the recurring clashes between herders and farmers, the Fulani Community Nationwide has proposed the establishment of a ministry of livestock. This ministry, similar to what is obtainable in other countries like the Niger Republic, would handle all issues concerning livestock rearing or breeding. The community stressed the importance of mutual trust and understanding between herders and farmers and believes that such a ministry would help to promote peaceful coexistence between the two groups.

Furthermore, the group has called on Tinubu to appoint some former governors as ambassadors of the country outside of Nigeria. According to the community, many ex-governors are intruders who cause problems in their states and try to control the new governors. By posting them outside the country, the group believes that it would be beneficial for the country and would help to prevent any interference in the affairs of the states.
