Buhari will leave the Aso Presidential Villa on Monday, May 29, when he gives control to President-elect, Bola Tinubu.

He has talked proudly about his friendly relationship with Niger Republic.

He said that if Nigerians make the country hard to live in after he leaves office, Niger will protect him.

Buhari said this while inaugurating the Nigeria Customs Service Corporate Headquarters in Abuja on Tuesday.

He also confirmed that he will move to his hometown in Daura, which is far from Abuja but closer to Niger Republic.

"I mentioned these things because I have only six more days left in office.

"And I want to be as far away from Abuja as I can. I come from an area that is far from Abuja."

Buhari said that if anyone tries to use force, he has a good relationship with his neighbors. The people of Niger will protect him.
